Thomas Shainer: Welcome, everyone, to today’s interview with Agata Arakel, a remarkable individual with an inspiring story to share. Thank you for being here with us, Agata. To kick things off, could you please introduce yourself to our readers?
Agata Arakel: Of course, and thank you for having me. I’m Agata Arakel, and my life and business journey has been profoundly influenced by the remarkable example set by my mother, Ewa Luczak. She’s been my hero since I was a little girl. Despite balancing the duties of raising my sister and me, overseeing our household, and excelling in her role as the President of a prominent public company with over 2,000 employees, she accomplished it all with grace and unwavering determination. She stood as a genuine trailblazer, successfully harmonizing her personal and professional life during a time when few women occupied such influential positions.
Thomas Shainer: Your mother’s story is undoubtedly inspiring. Could you elaborate on how her experiences influenced your own path?
Ewa Luczak: A Role Model of Success – Agata Arakel
Agata Arakel: Certainly. Watching my mother’s journey taught me valuable lessons about dedication, resilience, and strength. Her incredible success within one of Poland’s largest corporations highlighted the steep climb one faces when starting from the lowest rung of the corporate ladder. Despite the demands of her career, I never felt like I was missing her presence; she was always there for me. However, witnessing her hard work and determination made me realize that if I wanted to be my own boss someday, it would require unwavering commitment.
After relocating to Miami, I found myself assisting friends and acquaintances from around the world in their search for suitable apartments and homes. Although I offered my help to the best of my abilities, I knew that I couldn’t do it wholeheartedly without a proper license. And that’s when the idea struck me.
Having previously been involved in real estate in Poland, both as a partner in a construction company and as an investor, I decided to obtain a Real Estate license for the state of Florida. This marked the beginning of my adventure in the world of real estate.
Charting a Path in Real Estate – Agata Arakel
Thomas Shainer: Your journey is both inspiring and unique. Can you tell our readers more about your work in real estate and what distinguishes your approach from others in the field?
Agata Arakel: Certainly. My primary focus in real estate is residential properties, although I’m also actively involved in commercial real estate. What truly sets me apart is my perspective as a mother and a businesswoman. I became a mother while simultaneously climbing the corporate ladder, which was a pivotal period of self-reflection for me.
The Transformation of a Boss Mom – Agata Arakel
The pressure of managing my career while caring for my son reshaped my outlook. I realized that, irrespective of one’s position as a leader or a “boss,” it’s essential to seek help when needed. Just like anyone else, I have resources – be it tools, people, or assistance – that can ease the burden. Striving to give your absolute best every day can lead to burnout. I firmly believe that being a great mom and a successful leader are not mutually exclusive concepts.
Thomas Shainer: Your perspective on balancing motherhood and a thriving career is both refreshing and enlightening. Could you share some key factors that have contributed to your success?
Family Support and Financial Independence – Agata Arakel
Agata Arakel: Certainly. The most significant factors behind my success are the unwavering support of my family, their belief in me, and their willingness to allow me to learn from my own mistakes. Without a doubt, my greatest success story is my sons. They are remarkable young individuals – joyful, genuine, respectful, and compassionate towards others and the world. They have a unique ability to find positivity in every situation.
Professionally, my most significant achievement is the independence I’ve gained. I no longer need to rely on anyone else for help. This financial independence enables me to provide my children with a strong foundation in life and extends my capacity to assist others.
Thomas Shainer: Your journey is truly inspiring. Before we wrap up, do you have any recommendations for our readers? Perhaps books, apps, blogs, or other resources that have played a significant role in your personal or professional development?
Agata Arakel: Absolutely. Two books that have had a profound impact on my life are “Million Dollar Habits” by Brian Tracy and “Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy. These books have contributed to shaping my mindset and have guided my approach to both personal and professional aspects of life.
Thomas Shainer: Thank you, Agata, for sharing your incredible story and insights with us today. We wish you continued success in your real estate career and as a dedicated mother.
Agata Arakel: Thank you for having me. It’s been a pleasure to share my journey, and I hope that my experiences can inspire others to pursue their dreams and discover strength in unexpected places.
